Causes of Acne

There are some reasons that could cause acne. At most, acne begins at the start of puberty when the hormone levels are high. The body also starts producing a different hormone known as ‘androgens’ which can cause an overstimulation and enlargement of the sebaceous glands. More sebum is produced in the skin which blocks pores along with bacteria and dead cells. Once the bacteria are blocked inside a pore, it starts to multiply which then causes the pores to swell and become a spot.

Stress is another main cause of acne. Many people don’t realize that stress in daily life can worsen acne more than anything else. Stress causes the production of a hormone known as ‘cortisol’ which increase acne growth. Apart from spots, stress can do more serious harm to a person’s health. Natural Remedies for Acne Scars

1) Lemon and Lime

Lemon and Lime are two excellent remedies for treating spots as well as reducing the appearance of acne scars. Apply lemon or lime juice onto a cotton ball and gently tap on the affected areas on your face, shoulders, arms etc. Don’t wash them off until you know very well that the skin has soaked the lemon and lime juice.

2) Sandalwood and Rosewater

Sandalwood is a great remedy for soothing and cooling the skin. Sandalwood should be applied on the skin with rosewater but both of them should be applied as a facial mask. Make sure you don’t wash the paste immediately but allow it to work on your acne scars for at least more than an hour.

3) Other Natural Remedies

Apart from sandalwood, rosewater, lemon and lime, there are more natural remedies you can use to eliminate the acne scars. These natural remedies include:

• Tomato juice

• Olive oil

• Honey

Summary
